One StreamGen, three ways to run it
The same features and the same licence everywhere. What changes is where StreamGen lives, how you install it and what else you pay for.
Snowflake Native App
Awaiting Snowflake approvalInside your own Snowflake account. Nothing leaves it. Companies whose data must stay in Snowflake, and who want StreamGen installed and governed like any other Snowflake app.
What you get
- ✓ Installed from Snowflake into your account
- ✓ Your people sign in with their Snowflake login
- ✓ Acts as each signed-in user, never more than they may do
- ✓ Uses Snowflake Cortex for its AI
- ✓ Connects out only to the hosts you approve
Your data
Everything stays in your Snowflake account: your data, the apps, and StreamGen's own database and files.
Besides the licence
Snowflake compute in your own Snowflake bill: StreamGen runs on a small compute pool in your account, and the apps it deploys and the AI it uses (Cortex) are billed by Snowflake like anything else you run.
How you get it
- 1Buy a licence on streamgen.io. Your key arrives by email.
- 2Get StreamGen from its Snowflake listing and install it in your account. Snowflake asks you to grant the privileges it needs.
- 3Approve the "StreamGen licence and email" connection and start StreamGen.
- 4Open it: the first person in becomes its admin and enters the licence key. Until then StreamGen does nothing else.
Good to know
- Needs a paid Snowflake account (Snowflake doesn't run apps with containers on trial accounts) in a region where Snowflake supports them.
- A licence works in one Snowflake account.
